Rattlesnake Saloon & Seven Springs Resort

Postby bluepinecones » Tue May 31, 2011 9:57 am

There was an interesting write up on this place in Sunday's paper. Most of the article was devoted to the saloon which is located in a prehistoric cave like rock shelter near Tuscumbia, AL. However there is much more here including a campground with 56 sites having water and electric for $15.00 and 12 sites with sewer for $18.00 plus a number of primitive camping sites. (The term "resort" seems out of place here as it is very rustic) A bunk house has been constructed in old grain silo. There are different trails for hikers, bikers and horse back riding (stalls for bring your own horse or you may rent one).
Here are some neat photos and a short write up:

Just in case some of you might get a chance to go here, I sent them an e-mail with a few questions which were not addressed on their web site. Here's the response:
hello,

Yes, our facility is pet friendly, as long as they are on leashes. However, pets are not allowed on the horse trails.
There are no restrictions as far as RV size, we can accomodate all sizes. We have 70 hook-ups, twelve are water, power, and sewer, the rest are water and power. We do have a few primitive sites as well. The sites are mostly flat, and they are grass sites.
We do not grills on the campsites, or firerings, but you are allowed to build a fire, and we usually have firewood for sale.
We have a pool at the facility, and also, the Rattlesnake Saloon, which is open only on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 11:00am to 10:00pm. It is very family friendly, and we have entertainment on Friday and Saturday nites, with Karaoke on Thursday nites. Just visit the website to find out about upcoming events.

Thanks,
