From what I’ve read from Sheila’s and Lyn’s posts Alice, it sounds like your spot is now occupied by big rigs. I don’t understand why with so much desert they have to set up in your spot and encroach so close to Sheila.

Not sure whether I’ll get there this year. My remodel is slowly moving along. I definitely don’t think I’ll get there next week. I’m still holding out hope for the following week during the RV show. Will just have to see how things progress. I haven’t missed a Q GTG since I got my RV in 2012 and attended my first in Jan. 2013. Sure don’t want to mess up my streak, but I may have no control over the decision.

Unless they move yep they are in your spot Ava...still irritated about it... those big haulers are not kind to the roads or land!!! where they should have been was a different soil harder pact
but what they have set up I can't picture them moving there is room just not on the other side of me
yes Lyn the gold finches were here last year... I remember having to buy more finch food than sunflower seeds seems to be the same this year...
looking forward to seeing all of you soon
Sandi I hope that something will happen so that you will be able to be here

One thing I forgot to say...when coming west on I 10, watch for the turn off to 95 in Q. Tina , turn to Yuma. La Posa north is about 2 miles down. Tina turn left. Peggy, turn tight. Someone put up signs saying 15 MPH! Follow those signs after turning right at the trash cans. Lyn

I made it into Tucson today and am at the fairgrounds. On pulling in I discovered that they had both an RV show and a Hunter/Jumper horse show this weekend. I decided to stay put for two nights. So now my ETA for Sheila’s place will be Monday. Yes I know that Quartzsite will have a big tent and a big show but I am questing that these crowds may be smaller and from what I could tell many folks were not expecting to make it in until 5e 14th or after. See you all soon!

Is there anyone other than Barbie that won't be there when I get there on the 23rd?

Sandi, keeping my fingers crossed that you will make it!

Hello. I think I’ve arrived, but not sure. I took the Road to Nowhere Middle Ave and I think I see Kerry’s rig, but not Sheila or Lyn.....and no big rigs!! Peggy

That is because my rig hides them... there is a bush that when I get to it it will block the view of the 5th wheel the first time it happen I thought my 5th wheel had been stolen or I was lost...but it is just the optical illusion and when we refer to the big rigs it's the haulers that are big the 5th wheels are about the same as mine
made hamburger soup for most of us...Lyn said she needed to work on getting the food in her fridge cleaned out... we had a great visit...

Looks like I will be following the rain all the way there on Tuesday. And again on the way home later in the week. I wanted to take the mountain road across to Palm Desert but sounds like it might be snowing along there so that won't work. Will take the less scenic route around the mountain.

I plan to leave here early Tuesday morning and hopefully arrive in Q around 1 or 2pm depending on weather, road conditions, and traffic. Sheila, pm me your phone number again in case I forget how to find your place.

Made it to Q this afternoon after a long drive in the rain. Sun came out just when I got in town. Got settled in my motel room and then went over to Sheila's. Everyone was at her place shooting the breeze. Was nice to meet Kerry, Tina and Peggy.

All meeting for free pancake breakfast in the morning! Then I plan to go shopping at the big flea market!
