I'll take my recycling up and then pay a visit to the lake. Load the SS after that and I'll be off. Groceries and hopefully a haircut on the way! See you soon!

Liz, Donna, Anita, or someone at Silver Springs State Park: it is pouring rain here and we're getting lots of strong gusts of wind. I know this is extremely short notice, but could we postpone our luncheon for perhaps tomorrow, due to the inclement weather? I hope one of you see this message!

Irmi, definitely not a good weather day. Liz isn't back yet and I don't remember if she has something scheduled tomorrow - should have written it all down. I believe Margie is leaving tomorrow but imagine Donna and I will be here.

Thanks Anita. We will reschedule on our end for same time tomorrow. I did try calling Liz, but wasn't able to leave a message. Thanks for your quick reply! Stay dry!

Irmi and I had a great lunch yesterday with all the gals. It was fun meeting the bunch. More new friendships developing. Thanks to everyone.

Here is the story on the monkeys...

" A well-established population of rhesus monkeys has existed along the Silver River in Central Florida for nearly 80 years. Depending on who you believe, the monkeys were either escapees from the 1933 filming of a Tarzan movie or intentionally released by the manager of the jungle cruise boat ride at Silver Springs. By 1984, the upper Silver River population consisted of some 400 animals, with an unknown number along the Ocklawaha River. These monkeys forage for themselves on a wide variety of native plants and tourist handouts. If you see them while you are canoeing or kayaking these rivers – don’t try to feed them. No matter how cute they look, it’s against the law to feed them and they can be very aggressive, especially when it comes to food."
