Hi Karen and Laura and others...I made a reservation for the Stanton Park campground. Site 7, July 1st to 9th. I wasn't going to make reservations, but, reconsidered cause its the 4th.

My SIL has been doing quite well after his chemo TXS. They, the DD and he are even making reservations for Mammoth in August!

Looking forward to see you again and meeting others. Do we get the Oregon Treat you make?

As of now, the weather people are predicting temps over 100 degrees for the time we will be there. Ugh. Too hot! I'm tempted to go to the coast instead!

Accuweather extended forecast only shows low 90's. Actually, the temps are only in the 90's for the first few days. It drops into the 80's and high 70's after that.

The forecast will change as it gets closer and hopefully, the temps won't go up. I've been there this time of year a few times and while low 90's is warm, it cools off nicely in the evening there.

Please don't go to the coast!!!

I do have to cancel, but the reason is good! I have been searching for a particular RV, gently used, just a bit larger than the one I now have. I will be driving to Montana on July 3 to trade in my Free Spirit SS for the new one. I'm excited about this, since I've been looking for this for quite a while, and thought I would never be able to find it. I can't afford a new one of this model - 2015 LTV Serenity - but this one was used for one trip by a couple who had ordered a Unity that had not been delivered in time for their trip. Just over 3000 miles and a nice discount. They are giving me a great trade-in value for mine, since it is in demand.

I do regret not being at 7F to meet those I have not yet met, and to see those of you I have met. My dog HATES fireworks so I hope I don't encounter too many along the way. Take lots of photos!

I'm disappointed you won't be joining us but thrilled you finally found the motorhome! I know you've been looking for a long time!

I'll still be camping around the area (probably at the coast or near Corvallis) until July 17, so let me know if you get back to the area. I'd love to see the new one!

Leaving SoCal Sunday morning, have my rez all the way up....2 PA and 1 casino. So excited to be on the road again even if it is only for 2 weeks this year. Bakersfield, Lodi, Corning and then Canyonville. Last day is the longest and the hardest pull, so should be there between 3 and 4. Been back and forth with myself on whether to bring the car or not and finally decided to bring it. There's stuff around there I want to see that most of you have already been to, so this way I can go if no one else wants to. :D Plus I can go get Miss Lyn and Casey so they can come hang with the big girls. See you guys Wednesday!!

I'm leaving Tuesday morning and plan to spend the night at the Walmart in Yreka. Will arrive at Seven Feathers early afternoon Wednesday. Can't wait to see everyone. Sharon, are you staying at Desert Palms in Bakersfield? If so, I stayed there in March on my way to Salome. Nice level concrete pads, but no grass and be ready for the trains that go by just beyond the fence. Still, for one night and the price, I'll stay there again. See you soon.

I'm leaving Wednesday morning. I should be at 7 Feathers around 1:00.

It does appear that it will be quite warm while we're there but it will cool down in the evenings and the mornings are very nice too.

Everyone be safe on their travels!

Loaded up and almost ready to go!! I'll probably hook up the car in the morning...way to hot here today to do it now! Plus the electric won't reach and I want to try and keep it cool in there until I leave. I can't remember it being this hot this early in the year. I'm sure it was sometime, tho.

Yeah, Sandi, that's the place in Bakersfield. I'm pretty lucky, if the air is on I don't usually hear to much outside the coach. I've stayed a couple of places in B but never here. I am SO ready to get out of town!!
