Would anyone be interested in a New Year's Eve GTG in 2015? After reading posts from people who were alone on New Year's, I thought it might be fun. I love my family but I would like to be with friends! Maybe in Nevada, So Cal or Arizona?

Would be fun. If I can, I'd come. Not sure yet where I'll be wintering.

Same with me, if I get west for the winter next year, I'll be there.

I agree. The concept is wonderful. I could also see something similar set up in the east for those that may not be able to make it out so far west. Though as we have all pointed out to each other that "big" drive is only a series of little drives..... :) Some of us from the east now know that Sharon's in CA really does exist. :)

I'm going to put it on my calendar for next fall - to start thinking about it. Open to all suggestions regarding location. Not a formal GTG, just a fun New Year's gathering!

If we're going to need reservations, it will need to be formal enough to think about and plan before next fall.

I've never organized a GTG of any kind - so all advice and help appreciated. I know I'll be in Santa Barbara for Christmas (92 year-old mother there) so any place within a two or three day drive would be great. I've never RVd to Arizona or other places in the area. I guess there's lots of time to plan so no rush?

Judi - What was the weather like in Santa Barbara this past Christmas? I'm from the Central Coast and it was very cold there this past Christmas. I'm now living in more No. CA and it's still cold. There are RV parks all up and down CA and, yes, some are expensive. See where most responses will be on their travels come New Years Eve 2015 and will you be in Santa Barbara 2015 Christmas. It'll all work out!!
