So happy I was able to connect up with Lynn in San Diego today.

I was excited at the opportunity to ride the bus from Pacific Beach to downtown to meet up with her. Felt so independent & free!

Lynn really needs an official role as an ambassador for this beautiful city. Even though this was an impromtu visit, she still was able to show me some interesting sites of the area - we walked to the SD bay, going by Petco park (where the Padres play) and the fire station where Casey tried in vain to find a fireman to give her a treat, then continued to the fantastic new library - what a beauty! Yes, I think I could stand to live here. :D

Lynn, I had a great time with you. I hope we didn't overdo with the walking & I hope you enjoy this weekend!
Thanks for everything!
Catherine

Great GTG, great smiles, great palm trees and great weather! :D What more can you ask for?

Lyn, I will have to come out for a visit and a tour too. All the time I lived there, I never got to see Balboa Park, the Gaslamp Quarter or anywhere downtown SD. Need to do that with someone who knows the area well.

Glad you two had a nice visit!

Lyn is a treasure of the city, they just don't know it. She knows all the neighborhoods and history. And a few fine places to eat. Not that that is ever important to any of us. LOL

How fun that must have been Catherine... I love SanDiego was born there close to 75 years ago... have only visited a handful of times but it is one of the most beautiful cities in the USA... do not like the landing off the ocean though looks like you are going to ditch the plane!!! YIKES
