Name of CG: Choke Canyon State Park

CG Website: tpwd.texas.gov

Overall Rating (a scale of 1 – 10): 9

Pros: Nice space between sites. Most sites are both 50/30 amp. Electric/water with dump site on the way out.

Cons: Texas has been suffering from 7 years of drought in this area as of 2015. The lake is very, very low.

Comments: When the lake is at it's 'normal' level there is lots of kayaking, canoeing, fishing available. Folks do swim but no life guard and vermin in the lake. at 75 Acre Lake there is a large aligator and signs are posted. This is one of my favorite lakes as there are lots of trails and bird species are abundant.
