Homolovi Ruins State Park, Arizona

Postby Olive6001 » Sat Apr 26, 2014 6:40 pm

Does anyone have experience camping at Homolovi Ruins State Park outside Winslow, Arizona?
How about the Walmart in Edgewood, New Mexico?

Any responses are very welcome.

Sorry Nikki, when I'm in the area I stay in Holbrook at the AOK cg. My sis used to live just south of there. As far as the Walmart in Edgewood, I would go to Yahoo Groups and there is a WalmartRVing group there. They have pretty good walmart coverage as to where it's ok to park overnight or you can ask a question someone might have the answer for the town you're asking about.

OK, according to the list on the Yahoo Groups, there is overnight parking at the Edgewood WM. Check with the manager when you get there, that's pretty par for the course.

Hope this helps

I haven't stayed at that state park, but have liked the AZ State Parks I have stayed at.

Thank you, Sharon and Beth. Your comments are very helpful. Now I'm looking for a spot near Reno. Any suggestions? I'll probably want to stay put for two or three days at this point.

Can't help you there, the only time I go to Reno I'm on a motorcycle and we hotel it. :D
