City and State: Balmorhea, Texas right off I-10

Name of CG: Saddleback Mtn RV Park - Passport American

CG Website: None

Overall Rating: (on a scale of 1 – 10) 6 FHU

Pros: Park located behind a gas station and at first glance appears to be a parking lot with hookups. Its actually landscaped nicely with desert cactus and there is a short walking path for the dogs.

Cons: Not fancy and no where to spend any time but great for overnight. Adjacent to a lot where big trucks overnight with their motors running. Not the place if the noise bothers you.

Comments:

Rate: Passport American Park $10 a nite or $20 if not a PA member

I stayed at Balmorhea SP. FHU and each site is a pull through with a covered picnic table. They also have a huge spring fed pool but it had little nibbling fish which I could not handle. My neighbors encouraged me to go to Ft Davis and then take the scenic loop back to I10. I did and the views were spectacular. For 52 miles I met only one other vehicle.
