Sprinter RV with Firestone Riderite air bags

In case you missed it. On a Leisure Travel van FB group, it was brought up that some of the older Sprinters such as 2007 and 2010, have recently been inspected and found to have frame cracks where the Firestone Riderite air suspension bags were installed. A 2010 owner first reported it and after telling group, a owner with a 2007 had hers inspected and sure enough hers had cracks. Both reported and sent photos to Leisure Travel who is sending a free set of reinforcing plates for owner to have installed. Of course LT won't pay labor but it's a nice gesture to provide plates. One owner chose to have air bags removed, reinforcing done then Billstein shocks and a sway bar installed. I am going to have my LT inspected as soon as possible. I'm guessing even if a Sprinter rig isn't a LT conversion, that if it has the air bag suspension installed as option, they should also be inspected.
