question on inverters and converters

Postby snowball » Mon Oct 23, 2017 10:17 pm

I bought a electric throw.....cause I am cold...just have the buddy for heat not enough
talk about layers :? but the institution book yes it had one!!! said not to use with inverted power....in my mind I confused the two. so thought I couldn't use it and haven't but today in something that Nan said on FB realized that I had mixed them up....however if they are all in one the inverter and converter could I use it .... I seriously don't know if they are or not...someone needs to help me understand my system more...I am plugged in but as I understand as far as the cord goes it diminishes what would be 30 down to perhaps 20 ... I wish I could have a outlet right next to me...but it is what is...so what it boils down to is would you use the throw or give it as a gift...

If you're plugged in you're fine.

Beth is right. I do have a 12 volt blanket that is good when not plugged in.

My goodness!

I had never heard of such a thing. Just may need to get one!

Anyone know what the current draw (in amps) is?

Thanks!

Anne, I googled
"amp draw of 12v blanket"
Numerous articles popped up, too numerous to post, recommend you Google same and decide which ones you would like to check out.
Specs on the Amazon link only said it was gentle on the car battery, so that's no help

Thanks, Ava!

Try not to worry too much about the "retake" request. It happens. I have a relative that this happened to, and it turned out to be a cyst.

I had a breast lump/tumor/growth many years ago (along with breast discharge), had it removed, it turned out to be a non-cancerous tumor of the milk duct. This was about 20 years ago, it has never recurred.

Holding good thoughts for you.
