Pixie found a hiding place

Postby avalen » Thu May 28, 2009 10:08 pm

little Pixie found herself a hiding place in the bottom of my clothes hanger.
I found her snoozing, grabbed the camera and she opened one eye to see
what I was up to. Bless her little heart, it will be one year Monday (June 1)
that I got her. She was just skin and bone then, now she's all filled out and
quite the chow hound.

What a comfy looking spot Pixie found to relax and take a little nap! Cute picture, Ava!

It does have the plush private cabana look about it!

Is it something that is from when dogs ran wild that they (mostly the little breeds), seem to want to hide or burrow under something to sleep? Right now my little guy is on my lap, like he is every morning, sleeping under his blanket. He also likes sleeping under the covers with me at night.

Looks like a great doggie hangout; Nicky is jealous.

I have to admit that this little girl totally stole my heart, and I know we are
not supposed to have favorites, but don't tell Bandit and Gracie, Pixie is
totally my favorite and she's a bit of "special needs" as she doesn't see
very well. The vet says she has weird type cataracts in the bottom of her
eyes and I need to take her to a doggie eye doctor. ka-ching ka-ching
She knows she can't see well and she accomodates herself for it, but I
really had to chuckle the day she stood upright on her hinds, pawing the
air at my bathrobe hanging on the hook cause she thought it was me
standing there. She is such a pleasure to take for a walk too, Bandit
pulls and wants to sniff and piss on everything and then Gracie is the
pogo stick bouncing down the street all the way.

Pixie looks very comfortable. Right now both of my guys are on the bed all sprawled out and Buddy is snoring. Tough life, huh?
