From Shirl... And in her words:
I think Luca, the Little Yorkie will be a spoiled little puppy. Lol

Oh my goodness!!! Luca is the cutest puppy. What a little angel. I have had so many different animals as companions my entire life. I know I could never survive without them. Shirl, your family will have so much fun and joy with that little bundle of cuteness and love.

Sandi, I like the way you think. If not for my sweet Joe boy, I am quite sure I would not have survived all that has gone on (almost two years now!) during these seemingly never-ending Plague Years.

He has kept me sane, and kept me alive. Can't say much more than that!

I often shake my head, barely believing at all that has happened - who would have thought such a thing could have, would have, happened.

Had been hoping for a get-together with family and their significant others over Thanksgiving, after "home alone" holidays last year.

Am reading this morning that CDC is now recommending against holiday parties, even for those (my whole immediate family is) who are fully vaccinated.

"The CDC also recommends hosting a video chat party as opposed to an in-person gathering."

Hard to know what to do.
