Guess what! My daughter is allowing me to take Benji, her cockapoo on :D my travels now! I was thrilled when she told me. Of course, he is bonded to Val, but as the days go by and I am the one feeding him and walking him he will get used to me. He already loves me as we have lived together for a couple of years now. Benji is wearing a cone right now as he licked the top of a rear foot till it is very sore looking. The vet gave us some anti biotic cream that must be applied twice a day, and no dressing on it. Those cones are a pita!

they have inflatable donuts you can put around their neck that do the same thing as the Cone of Shame.

Lyn my dog also licked a paw raw and I did the antibiotic creme, etc. After it healed up a bit I wrapped her paw in Coban (vet wrap) as now it had become a habit and that cured that. If she started to lick it again later in time I wrapped it again ha ha
