A Kitty RVer

Postby IrishIroamed » Wed Jun 07, 2017 6:58 pm

Thought I'd pass this along since the topic of traveling with a cat and how best to get them started. Saw it on Flipboard. Here is the description and link to the article.

Vladmir Kitten has many backyards. The adventure cat has been on the road since 2016 with his owners Cees and Madison Hofman. In 2016, the couple graduated and decided to visit all 59 of the United States’ national parks in celebration of their …

That is cool! You need to start them young tho! I really will have to keep an eye on Lola during our adventure. She is getting a new, more user-friendly harness tomorrow (kind of a vest type and easy to put on with velcro and a buckle) and that will stay on her most of the time. I have a pretty good sized hot pink heart shaped name tag on her pink collar that is easy to see too. Hopefully, she will be too scared to get too close to the door of the camper to try and get out.
I also have to get some special pet screen material to put over the windows since she has been known to scratch a hole in the cloth screens to get out.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

My kitty "Amy" started RVing at 13 1/2. She took to it like a veteran and is now 15 1/2. I've been lucky that she hasn't attacked the screens and pretty much stays away from the door. I am careful though. Does Lola have a microchip Barbie in addition to her name tag?

She does have a microchip but I need to update the info on it.

Barbie, make sure Lola's collar tag has your CELL PHONE NUMBER.
