It's funny, I was talking to my sister the other day, she is in Portugese water dogs, about what I am planning. She was saying that she doesn't really like to show puppies in the conformation ring as she likes them to mature some. I had to remind her that in my breed we don't really have that luxury as our dogs lifespans are so much shorter. I really hate that part but if you are this breed you have to resign yourself to it. A lot of people I know can't understand why I would stay in this breed, none of them has ever been loved by and lived with one.....I will continue to pay that price until I am physically incapable of taking care of one.
