Finally got the remainder of the test results back - no signs that Nicky has any of the tick born illnesses for which they were checking. He has been back to vet 3 more times for observation and starting tomorrow I will give him the pain meds only as needed but will continue daily doses of the joint supplement and anti-inflammatory pills. Appears we will be in a wait and see mode for a while now. Also for the time being I've lost my walking partner except for very short outings and those will wait until my back settles down a little more (it is much better already).

I am happy to hear Nicky's good news. I hope he is on the road to a full recovery.
