Ava, that is a slide and we did leave the carpet there. Our slide rises as it comes in and the installer was able to put the vinyl under it. It's possible that the slide might leave indentations/and or scuff marks when it comes in, but I'm willing to live with that not to have carpet. Actually, you could see indentation in the carpet after putting the slide out. carold

Wow! That color really makes it feel spacious, doesn't it? Nice job.

Details, what kind, color etc. OMG, Carol, it's beautiful and it looks like they have done a great job. I like the way you came right up to the edge of the front seats. I really want to keep carpet in the driving area. I know you will be very happy with it. :P

thanks Carold, although my new floor is not going to happen real soon, it will happen
and ya never know, by then there might be a new edge strip made that will let me do
the slide as well.

looks great!! I prefer the laminate floors .. carpet gets way to dirty!!

There is a guy on Hitchitch that is replacing the floor in his 5th wheel...and has come up with a solution in the slide area. Not sure what it is, cause I didn't read that part of the post. Anyway, its Boondocking the good life (or something like that). His name is Brian. Just an fyi incase it might help someone.
