RED has arrived

Postby Redwahine » Tue Feb 26, 2013 4:36 pm

Watching and waiting. Then next thing I hear an air horn and there she is sitting in my driveway. The driver hands me a fist full of keys, wishes me luck, hops in the truck that followed and left. OMG. She is huge. Looked small next to all the big rigs at the dealers. I am overwhelmed and don't even know where to start. Will wait for DH to return from DR. appt to start playing with buttons and stuff. Waiting for tree people to arrive. DH decided that 3 of the pecan trees are to be sacrificed so RED has a safe parking spot. I'm excited and overwhelmed at the same time.

THE BIG RED BUS

Thanks Ava. I'm fairly comfortable driving her and backing her up in an empty parking lot :P But getting her in and out of the driveway is going to be a real challenge.

Actually, I'm thanking you. I love her. Just overwhelmed. I didn't play with the switches cuz I was afraid I would break something. If we are gonna break something the first day it's gonna be his fault.

When DH got home he just stopped in the driveway, put the truck in park, got out of the truck and just stood their and stared. I was on FaceTime with Dawn and Paul showing them RED. When I walked out, we both just stood their looking at her and started laughing. Almost hysterically. Like..."REALLY"??? "What did we do?" "OMG". We went inside and DH sat in the pilot's seat and me in the passenger side. We turned on the fans. DH started the engine and the gas gauge indicator is on FULL!!! That's 100 gals. So sweet.

Red, it was too funny watching DH just sitting there in his truck. I am sure by now, you two have pushed the buttons and sat in all the chairs. It sure does look good in your driveway. Will look even better going down the road. Paul and I were looking at route tonight. Looks like if weather holds, we should be getting to New Orleans Sunday afternoon. That would be a great trip for you to take RED on. Going to look at Colleen's blog for a CG close by that she recommends.

So pretty ... and I love that you both are in the "amazed and overwhelmed" mode. Won't last ... so enjoy it while you can. Hopefully the amazed will last ... forever.

Absolutely stunning!!!
I like Dawn's idea - go meet her and Paul in New Orleans for nice first trip.
