Spring Wildflowers

The wildflowers are springing up around here. I've had a lot of people ask me why I like New Mexico so much because to them, its barren. I think they just don't look close enough. Here are a few of the flowers growing around my site. Sorry don't know their names.

Was taking a short 5 min break and saw these. They are beautiful Karen, thanks for posting them.

There is beauty every where you are! Just need to slow down to see it. Stopping is good to do now and then too of course!!!

Yes, very pretty. I always look down (and up) while walking so as not to miss the "little" treasures. Probably why I trip a lot.

have this southwest book about birds flowers fauna ect so took a look the first one looks like its a firewheel Blanketflower there is also a slender blanketflower and the others couldn't find really pretty flowers. thanks both of you for sharing....
I really like the southwest it is its own beauty we have friends that said that the month of may is the prettest atleast in AZ due to the plants growing

Oh my Karen and Cedar...when I get back into the swing of all my art work again I'll be picking some neat flowers here.. to put in with my morning greetings...aaaaaah sure lookin' good..

Karen, what a lovely thread you started here. I've been enjoying the wildflowers , when Maggie and I do our morning walk. Somehow, they always seem so much prettier at the beginning of the day, to me.

Cedar, the last one you posted with the water drops, is so pretty.
