Geez! Is it always so windy. On I-10 near Kerrville. Roger's gripping the wheel with both hands. Thankfully just going to San Antonio.

Worst bridges I ever drove over were in Texas with horrible winds--1 near Galveston and several around Corpus Christie. Thought I was going to get blown off. Scary. Heading through West Texas had a strong tailwind which was not as bad as side winds. Hope you are parked by now

Did you know the interstate system was built where the winds will be strongest? Another reason I like the back roads. No fun.

Helpful hint....never leave your awning out in the TX high winds....they tend to be "gone with the wind"...... :o ;)

Hope the winds didn't blow all day. Lori's advice on the awning sounds pretty smart.

I never leave my awning out unless I am right there and never at night. Learned my lesson in Zion National park when I hag to get up at 2:00 am to put it down. Since mine is manual that meant getting dressed and going out in pitch dark with a flashlight on my head. Was calm when I went to bed but woke up to loud flapping and wind rocking g motorhome!

Might be tempted to leave it out at night if all I had to do was push a button.

Marge, I have NEVER driven I-10 from Kerrville to El Paso without wind and usually a side wind. Its the calmest in the morning before 10am. There's a reason Texas has so many wind machines.

Never been to Texas but I know Wyoming is another bad state to drive thru with horrible winds.

The wind has been bad everywhere this year for some reason. Even right here at home it's been bad all year. I'm pretty tired of it and I'm sure I'm gonna be a lot more tired of it before I get home!!
