Wheeeee! The library just got a copy of Rowling's Casual Vacancy for me!

Like everybody else, I've been wondering what she would write after Harry Potter. I think this is her first novel for adults, too.

It's going to be a great evening. :D

I'm # 8 out of 30 on the library waiting list for this book. Can't wait. Waiting for your update re if this is a good read.

Well, I just finished it. It is in every way possible different from the Harry Potter books -- structural choices, pacing, likeable characters, everything. Most of all, it is unrelentingly real world. It starts really slow, but it ends really strong. It's not a quick, fun read, but it is a very interesting book.
