Sizzling Sixteen - Janet Evanovich

Postby Birdie » Sat May 07, 2011 8:17 pm

This is number sixteen in Evanovich's number series that has Stephanie Plum as her primary character as a bounty hunter.

This time her boss and uncle the awful Vinnie has been kidnapped and is being held hostage for the payment of his debt(s), to the tune of 1.2 million dollars and the office core workers need to find him and the money. It is interesting but some of her earlier books were better, I think.

I have a friend who has all her books and loves them. She has offered to let me read them. But my sister stocked me up with books for the winter....guess I'm going to have to get back in the reading mode...but I keep falling asleep!

I read the first three books and enjoyed them. I have the next three on tape, came as a set. Will have to make sure the tape player still works. Linda

I've read 'em all, in fact probably everything she's written...Some were better than others, but all had laugh out loud scenes. Love Bob the dog and would take Ranger home in a heartbeat! I lived in Jersey City for a while and the characters are right on! Her mom, Grandma Mazur...I knew and loved them all.

I enjoy her books. Only read them when I find them cheap or at trading libraries these days - so might be awhile before I get to the latest :)

I've read all the Stephanie Plum novels. I used to live in Lawrenceville NJ right outside Trenton. I've eaten at the restaurants she mentions. Never ran into Joe Morelli or Ranger, dang it. I thought Rachel Ray would be a great Stephanie for a movie.

I belong to www.paperbackswap.com. You list the books you have to trade. You get credits for mailing out one of your books and then you request books from other members. I saved a lot of money with this site. It only works if you have a sticks and bricks address to receive your books. They will not ship to any address but the one registered.
