Still Going Strong by Talie Morrison

Postby JudyJB » Thu Jan 25, 2018 8:22 pm

This is a book that I thought some of the ladies on this site would really appreciate. Talie is a 69-year-old lady who has hiked around the world. She is from Colorado, but has traveled to Australia, New Zealand, The Pyrenees, Alaska, and South America for long-haul hiking. And just to keep from being bored, she got a job doing housekeeping at the McMurdo Ice Station for an entire year!

She is a lot more energetic than I am or even was in my early 60s, but she certainly would fit into our group. The only negative about the book is there is a lot of detail on each of her hikes, but it is interesting to see how she prepares and how she packs. She also describes all the interesting people she has met along the way.

Anyway, I have finished this book and would be willing to pass it on to someone who is interested--maybe at Gilbert Ray or whenever I cross paths with someone who would like to read this.

She also has a website at https://taliem.wordpress.com/

That does sound like a book I would enjoy. I'll have to see if it's available at my library where I download most of my books from.
