Barbzee, here is the pic of the afghan I made using the tunisian crochet. Photobucket won't cooperate, so I did it this way. Linda

Linda, I love it..looks mighty big. I bet was done in winter  As soon as I finish this scarf. Only 6 more inches to go. I am gonna start a tote bag but I will check that stitch out..did you have to block it ? I know I will have to edge and block this scarf...awesome afghan you have a lot to be proud of..

God bless

Zeee

Thanks Zee and Dawn. I too love the way it turned out.

I didn't bother blocking it. I used acrylic yarn and the dogs think I crocheted it for them, so no blocking. Will require a lot of washing. :D I used 16 squares and it measures 46" X 46". Not too big. I am currently making an afghan for a queen size bed. I roll it as I work on it, so it doesn't end up in my lap. I will post a pic when finished. Linda

Ava, I had a few interruptions !!!!!! But I started back on it and it should be. ( notice I said " should be " )

It is long. And I need now maybe 3 more inches. I will post picture for sure.

Thanks for asking.

God bless

I have been watching Youtube videos on the Tunisian crochet stitch. Looks to be fun and made me want to try it..... ;)
You gals are being a bad influence as I have been working on getting rid of all the hobby stuff since leaving Alaska.

Oh sure! I am always to blame :o I feel it's more like misery likes company

By the way Ms Dawn, How's your knitting coming along ????? :!:

Lenora, come on and jump in, the water is warm. And we need to see what your project is gonna be. Don't throw all that good stuff out ! Isn't those YouTube videos neat?

I think my scarf is just about there...have to check the length again.

Oops interupted hahaha. Ms Reba just woke up. All critters need out time.

I forgot about that one, I learned that a couple years ago, made a dishcloth, (of course) for the practice. Think I'll brush up on that one.

Got a few more rows done on my sweater last night. Don't get as much done now as I was getting done. Too many other things to do. If I get some done each evening, it will get done eventually. Should have more time for crafts when I get on the road.

I have a stand/cover for my iPad now so I don't have to hold it when we are talking. I could knit while we chat.

Well, I caved, picked up a 'crochet kit'. Got it from my local grocery/dept store, mostly cause it had the one hook I needed for doing the Tunisian stitch as they didn't sell it seperately. Also included is a beginner crochet book, E, G, H! I and K hooks, two tapestry needles, stitch marker rings and bulky knit yarn bobbins. All for $12. Can't see me needing those last two items. ;)
Anyhoo, I bought a skein of varigated colored yarn and am trying my hand at the new stitch. Pretty easy. Doing a skinny scarf. Nothing earth shattering, just something to do.

Lenora, be sure and let us see as you go. I told Barb tonight, I am now set up where I can knit while we FaceTalk. I am enjoying sharing our needlework.
