Another Counted Cross-stitch Finally Finished!!

Postby rvgrammy1953 » Tue Jan 19, 2010 8:38 pm

Okay....last spring I posted my first project using my Counted Cross-stitch program for the computer...My Grandkids....I so wanted to do one of their parents, our son, Bill and his wife, Amy....so I chose a really good photo of them taken at a wedding that they were involved in....I started it in May and it has taken me until today to finish it.....(Major note to self....never do this again on 22 count aida cloth.... and never again something that has tons of black in it. )
Here we go.....First a copy of the original photo...

Now the finished counted cross-stitch....

Good thing I have new glasses... and a magnifying glass...as it is all done in 1 strand of floss....
Hope you all enjoy it....Now on to the next one....done in a larger aida cloth and 2 strands of floss....I'm getting paid for this one coming up....hope it goes faster.....

I remember you showing us some of your "projects" in PA.....makes my eyes water just thinking about the work.....Your fingers must have to do crunch exercised to keep in shape :) I am stopping to play with Carolyn near St. Mary for a few days....PM me and let me know what Sat or Sunday looks like in your neck of the woods....

wow, my eyes hurt just thinking about doing that, one of the ladies at work
does that during our break, that stuff is beautiful but I can't imagine myself
doing it, I'll stick to my crochet and quilts. Bill and Amy will love it.

Wow Lori! That is wonderful. You have so much patience, it's a good thing Spinner didn't get a hold of it, you'd really need patience then! Great Job!

Holy crap Lori!!! That is simply awesome. I can't begin to imagine the patience that took to do! WOW I would have been a bear to have been around if I tried something like that.

Super, super work. They had better appreciate that or else. Let us know we will go whoop them!

WOW! You have got some patience and some talent there my friend! Now, are you keeping it or is it a gift? I know that it will be hard to part with after all those hours! WOW

Very nice! What is the size of that? I like doing stuff like that (on a smaller scale of course!) but just don't have the time lately.
