southwest gourd

Finally finished with this. Lots of mistakes and learning experiences! :roll: I used orange ink dye, teal embossing powder on the designs (and melted with a heat gun), embellished with copper glitter glue, and then sealed with clear matte spray.

This is the naked gourd :shock:

Thanks. Sandi, I used semi-transparent ink dye which lets the natural markings and texture to show thru. I love the red rocks of the southwestern states so I went with that color. I wanted it to look as natural as possible so that is also why I went with a matte sealer over it rather than a shiny look.

This one is about 7 inches across and 4 inches high. The biggest one I have done so far.
