Covering the TV

Postby retiredhappy » Sun Mar 01, 2009 6:13 pm

I got really tired of looking at the black TV when it wasn't on so bought a picture to put in front when not using the TV. Right now its just propped up on the ledge but think I will mount it with velcro. Sure beats looking at the black TV screen. What do you gals think?

Looks very nice Karen! I am more interested in the Kachina and Hopi/?Navaho pottery. I brought along a few of my own Kachinas for the MH display case... Which one is that? I brought clown, mudhead, an Iroquois eagle (I think) and brown bear (the healer). Had to leave my bigger ones at home...

This is a great idea, Karen! I love the picture, and also all the pottery items displayed! However, I would NOT like putting them all away for traveling!

My aim for this year is to pack as little as possible in that house on wheels----notice I said, "my aim?" What will actually happen is another thing!

My trailer has a rather large open space between two covered cabinets over my sof/bed, which is really stupid, unless you want to display lots of knick-knacks up there which can all fall off when traveling. My goal would be to enclose that area with closable doors somewhere down the line. I noticed that the newer models have that area enclosed!

The Kachina is the Hoop Dancer. I like my pottery out since I'm in one place for six months at a time. I just wrap them in bubble wrap and put them inside my closets when I travel. The picture is from Walmart. I have a couple of smaller pieces of pottery on a shelf in the bedroom area. I use that museum putty on the bottoms and they stay put while I'm driving. In the living room they're sitting on a shelf that I put across the opening to the cab when I'm parked. It comes down when I drive so the pottery has to be put away.

Yes, it does add a nice pop of color to the area and sets off your pottery display. Very nice!

Karen, it looks great and I love the pottery-adds a nice splash of color. I've been trying to get my DH to set up the tv to have scrolling pictures like the computer since we have no shelf or place for a hook to hang a pic-but so far to no avail . carold
