Here's the Quilt

Made quilt for bed of motorhome - it is all photographs I've taken while we are traveling. The colors don't show up very well in the pictures. And they are fading. Will use a better quality of photo material if I make another one.

Carol, that is absolutely gorgeous. How on earth did you make your pictures into cloth print to sew into a quilt? Is ther a computer type program or did you have to send off somewhere to have made? What a very neat idea.

Carol, I love the quilt! I've always wanted to do one using pictures but wasn't sure how well they would hold up. What brand of photo fabric did you use for this one?

Carol, what a work of art that is! I never knew it was possible to do that with material.....how do I do it? I might even resurrect my sewing machine to make something like that!

I used an off brand that I bought at a quilt show in a 100 piece packet. They are 8 x 10 material stuck on a piece of paper. I've used good brands, which are more expensive and worth it. and they keep their color much better but feel stiffer. Can buy them at JoAnns and WalMart Think they are something Taylor. Just follow the directions and run them through an ink jet printer using any photo printing program. Usually they have to be set in some way to before putting in a quilt. The ones I used had to be soaked in fabric softner then ironed dry. The hardest part was picking the pictures.
