Here are the Zion Canyon Pictures..
This is what you see if you come in on the east side of the park. This is the side that also takes you through the tunnel and by the bison

These are shots taken on the Emerald Pools Trail. There are 3 pools that you can hike to, with the upper pool being the most difficult trail section. It is .3 miles up and back. It is an off shoot trail. This trail was once consider Moderate, but it is no longer maintained so it has sections that they now consider strenuous. We did not read that before we ventured off on this rabbit trail. But it was worth it in the end.

Here is a sample of the unmaintained section.

These ones are of the Riverwalk trail that leads you to the Zion Narrows Trail. The riverwalk is a an easy trail that is a paved path. The narrows is not..LOL

This is at the end down stairs...you can lounge on the river bank...or set off and hike The Narrows

Zeke and I were the only that were willing to get wet..we only hiked in about 10 minutes. It is one that you will get wet..no option to stay dry

did they have signs on the Narrows trail that told you to wade through the water?
I'd be afraid of under currents unless the signs cover that. Looks like a lot of fun.

Yes that is the only way to hike it...it is mostly a in the river hike.

The first few miles you can hike in..part of what we did..you can do without a permit. After that point a permit is required and they do go over everything. Including the flash flood information. IN fact they will not issue permit unless the risk of flash flood is low. The section that shows DS and I in the deeper water...that is the deepest section of the non permit allowed trail. They only allow 80 hikers/day.

Glad this thread came back to the surface, I didn't get to see the pics when posted, it's great to see the kids out on the trails.
I loved the "Narrows" hike, made it to Wall Street, so amazing. Next time in Zion I want to do Angels Rest or is it Clouds Rest?
Umm, I think Clouds Rest is in Yosemite!

Great pictures - that is such beautiful country. Don't think I'd be brave enough to do the "water hike" though. So many wonderful places in this great country of ours.
