What a nice time y'all had. That desert museum is still on my list after trying two times on our last trip. Beth, when do had north to Valdez?

The pictures you share help me understand more and more why our Ms Sharon loves the desert so much. (And even birds get butt shots, eh?)

was a fabulous day and the restrooms had sunscreen dispensers in them, was a good idea to use the sunscreen and wear a hat.

Thanks, Beth. BTW: What do they feed the lizards?
So good to see Karen and Ava getting out more too.

Would have been nice if one if them answered you, lol. I didn't talk to the one feeding them. Karen just told me she was feeding them crickets and meal worms. And they sure show up when she brings the chow out. These were not in any enclosure.

It's a place you can go to once or more each year and still enjoy it. Did they have the old, arthritic lions there still? When I was there, the keeper was tossing them mice in various parts of their enclosure to get them to get up and walk, poor things. When a mouse was tossed, one would slowly get up and walk to the mouse, pick it up and eat it.

Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix is a lot like this place in that you can go again and again.
