Staying on the straight and narrow ...

I don't know whether any of you have this problem: Interstate highway lanes get "rutted" by the weight of semis, and when I first got my Class A, it just "wandered" all over the lane. It was a white-knuckle driving experience every time.

I invested in the Steer-Safe stabilizer system. It's a spring-based gizmo they install on the front axle. If the wheels get knocked out of line, the springs bring them back to the forward position. It has made a world of difference in my rig.

Here is a picture from Camping World and a description of the product:

Reduces the effect of passing trucks and protects against loss of steering control caused by pot holes, high winds, soft shoulders and road wander.

They also say it even keeps the vehicle going straight in a blowout. I've had a few hairy situations and it saved my life -- literally. I no longer arrive at my destination exhausted.
