I had a bit over 7000 steps yesterday. Today not as much. So how many steps are you getting?

I don't use the fitbit, but I have a goal to be over 10000 steps a day and usually am. I don't have to keep track anymore, but do if I think I'm slipping.

I'm still a long way from that 10,000 step mark but very happy with the Fitbit One. Have been using it for 2 months now and have lost 8 pounds. Some of that is likely fluids but it is a move in the right direction.

Way to go on the weight loss. I like the fitbit because I am competing against myself so even a few more steps per day each week feels like a victory to me.

Definitely something that encourages you to compete against your last best self........otherwise you might find yourself walking with a friend in NW TN and never having as many steps for the hike as she does. I am not saying that some people have short legs and have to take extra steps to cover the same distance :o  but that might be one theory. :)

I agree your stride length makes a difference to distance, and you can set that in pedometers usually. However 10050 steps is 10050 steps and that is where I was at midnight. Yay me.

Yes, but you didn't have a little, smiling, short legged thing sitting across from you in a chair reporting her numbers with a "can't catch me" smile on her face! Just that she was right, regardless of stride.....means nothing......maybe Ms Vickie is right? Just saying.....

COngratulations on your day by the way! :)

Oh, come on - we all know Vickie is NEVER right...

And yes, Velda - CONGRATS!! Keep up the good work...walk those little legs right on down to nubs.
That's my goal.

Wow, Vickie, did she just say her legs used to be longer? I know that our spines shrink as we age but I think she is blaming it on short legs? But at least now she can run on her short nubs. :) I saw her jog....

Oh and congratulations to you and Ronnie for getting out and moving more!

The only reason she jogs now, is because she won't get black eyes! 8-)

Thanks, we're trying to get a mile a day, not much, but with the heat index at 104, that's our limit right now.

We have the Aria scale and I love it. Info goes right into the fitbit app and/or website.
