It’s Friday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It’s Friday!

Postby Othersharon » Fri Nov 17, 2017 11:12 am

Good morning! It’s quiet this morning on the forum. Everybody must be busy with Friday tasks! I’m getting ready to head out and do the things I was going to do yesterday, it was just to nasty to go out yesterday. And tomorrow is a day for my friend and I to get out. She’s going stir crazy with not being able to drive and get out. So we decided to go to our favorite Amish markets and then lunch somewhere in that area.

So with that, I’ll just wish you all a good day and hope you have a great week end!

Whoopee, Friday! Altho that means nothing to me. When retired the days blend together. The weather in SD is 68*, in Quartzsite, 79*

I don't have any snow or wind to report, just the same ole same ole.

Lyn, I love the "same ol', same ol' out here! Lol!

The countdown is on! 5 more days to closing! Yay! I think I will make another run with boxes to the storage unit tomorrow morning. (I was supposed to have tomorrow off but now have to work 2 to 7.) I also need to get some more bins to pack up my bathroom and kitchen stuff. Several of the plastic bins I had before, got damaged in the move down here.

Hope you all have a good day! :D

Just posted something to the new eateries area. Had a rough night with kidney stone pain, but it is better this morning. I took 1.5 vicodin before i went to bed, and then it wore off in the middle of the night, so I took more and then paced until it kicked in. Thought I might have to call my son and go to emergency room, but made it through the night eventually, but slept in until 10:30 am. Have a dermatology appt this afternoon and will ride my bike there as it is only three miles through town. Got to get my bike out and make sure there is air in tires.

I am back in Napa for eight days, including Thanksgiving and then will be headed back to Tehachapi and Death Valley. Might stay near Ash Meadows at a casino in the middle of nowhere. I am really looking forward to Death Valley as I like watching the coyotes trot through the campground on their way to drink at Furnace Creek. Then back to Napa for the week before Christmas to be with kids. It rained last couple of days in Napa, so everything is going to be turning green. Concern is the newly burned areas and erosion, so they want rain a little at a time until vegetation recovers. Sunny today but more rain later this week.

Barbie, get the Rubbermaid Roughneck storage bins. They are almost unbreakable and the company I used to work for used them as shipping containers for training materials. Never had them arrive broken. They are not clear, but they are tough.

Hi ladies ~~~
A hair after Noon here in CA, but I should be posting under the campfire thread because a cold front has moved thru and temp is currently 57*, windy and some actual rain this A.M. The Ford & TT need to be washed, but that could be a lost cause staying near deserts and dust for now.

Judy sorry to hear about the stones. Ma gets those and they can be pretty painful. Hope all of yours pass sooner rather than later. Congrats on the close coming soon Barbie. Do you think this will be your home base for a while? Sheila, sure hope you can stay warm. Does anyone think they can find the part you need for the fireplace?

Heading out from this CG tomorrow and heading up north a bit more just outside of Yosemite. I'm OK with cold if needed, just keeping fingers crossed for no snow. Long term forecast is 60-70s in the day and 30-40 at night.

I did get to Carrizo Plain National Monument yesterday and posted some pics if anyone is interested.

Have a great day ladies and stay safe where ever you are.

Yep, this will be my home base for, hopefully, a long time! This will be my 5th move in 13 months! :o I am so done moving! I plan to get another, smaller, trailer eventually to do shorter camping trips with.

My roommate found a replacement for me today. The new future roommate seems very nice and I think she will get along here very well. I am ready to be roommateless now!

Sheila, glad you made it to Q for the winter! Hope you get the fireplace fixed soon!
