Brrrr! Tuesday, Oct 2

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Brrrr! Tuesday, Oct 2

Guess I will have to start the thread this morning--everyone else must be sleeping! :o

Anyway, it is VERY chilly this morning, and I hate to have to get out and dump my tanks on my way out of here. I set my alarm wrong and woke up an hour before I had planned to. Oops. Heading to Eugene for a couple of days, and then back to warmer California. At least, it will be a sunny day today here on the coast. Not even any fog. Hope everyone has a good day, in spite of all the awful things going on in the world.

Beautiful fall day here in northern california! Just a few clouds up against foothills. First chemo and bone drug went well. No immediate side effects. We are home and having skipped breakfast are going to fix lunch and answer calls that came in. Hoping car is ready today at service center. But the Jeep Compass they rented for me is fine.

It is pretty chilly over here in Joseph Oregon but today no rain AND the sun is shining. Went into town today and cruised all the local shops. Ate at The Embers and had a good burger and crispy fries. Managed to fall into the chocolate shop AFTER we ate and got a few token chocolates.

Tomorrow we go explore some more and go to the foundry and see how they make all the bronze sculptures around town. I posted some pictures on facebook. I need to figure out how to post here but my brain is not into it right now.

Well, we're retired, so we really don't have to know what day it is. I just happen to know it's Tuesday. October 3rd, because it's my granddaughter's birthday. Had a fun day with good weather touring the French Quarter in New Orleans. Now we're watching the weather again to see if that low develops into a Tropical Storm and heads this way for the weekend. So sick of heat, humidity, and rain.

Got my fingers crossed for you Barbie.

I didn't sleep in today, instead got up very early for kindergarten hair cutting school!

The instructor of the class was at the concert in LV the other night. She wasn't real close to the shooting but was pretty traumatized by it all anyways with all the chaos and confusion and panic.

No word yet on the house. We gave them 3 days to respond tho. Got the application for the mobile home community and got that filled out tonight.

Tomorrow, I go to both schools, haircutting and hypnotherapy, so will be very tired tomorrow night!

Just wondering about all the fires in the northwest...are they all out now? Haven't heard anything in the news about that and I know there has been rain and cooler temps up there, so am hoping they have all been put out by now.

Velda, so glad to hear the treatment went well so far. Hope that continues and does what it is supposed to do.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Fires are mostly out, but lots of rain and cooler temperatures really cut down on the smoke and also helped the firefighters control the fires. Been pretty clear on the coast since I got here three weeks ago. Nice, strong breezes also helped.
