Getting ready to walk Peaches and head into work shortly after. Two weeks from today I should be back on the road... Sleeping in again... :D

Hope everyone has a wonderful day... Traveling, stationary, whatever you're doing.

Good Morning Beth and Everyone !! Beautiful here this morning, have a huge list of things to do, not good sometimes to set and list all you need to do  but I do that mostly so at the last minute I don't leave here and miles away remember I didn't do something

No real news worthy of mentioning. How long will you have before getting to winter job, Beth? I hope you'll have enough time to take leisurely trip getting there, with some peaceful Boondocking times for hikes for you and Peaches. Bet she's going to enjoy the one on one time she'll have for awhile with you.

Need to get moving on this list  hope everyone has a nice day, enjoy, whatever it is you choose to do.

Above all, please Stay Safe!!

Good Morning! Lyn arrived Monday afternoon. Well actually I had to go find her! She called me and told me that she was hopelessly lost and she was on a dirt road by a telephone tower. I told her I’m pretty sure I know where you’re at and just stay there and I’ll come and get you. So I hopped in the car and sure enough there was her vagabond butt standing in the middle of the road surrounded by corn fields! Got her back to the house and hooked her up. We visited for a little bit and then we took off on an excursion to the south of Avon down to the Missouri River and some points of interest. We came home and had a late supper and she headed to bed. Yesterday we went to the west to the Pickstown/Fort Randall Dam area to see the remains of the old chapel and cemetery. Then we headed to the casino for Indian tacos. We couldn’t eat the whole thing so we brought them home for supper. We were supposed to go out to the farm to see the grandkids but Ashley ended up having to be at school late so that’s on the agenda for later today. I really should go over to the consignment shop to see if there is any winter clothes for the grands. They’re only open two days a week and everything they sell is next to new. Missy stopped by with her two grandchildren last night. Not sure what else we’ll do to keep out of trouble today. Lyn leaves tomorrow. I have an appointment for a perm and cut at 8:00 in Springfield so I’ll have to leave here by at least 7:30 so I’ll have to say good-by before we turn in for the night.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good morning ladies
Carol, you and the grand's were on my mind this morning for some reason. I so enjoyed our sit at the table visits.
Had to put my dads home made charger on my car yesterday, I helped him make when I was about 12, and it still works! Car started just fine this morning. Need to do fluids before I drive it anywhere. But right now my priority is to get the mh cleaned out and that means organize the shed so I can get stuff in there. The weather only allows me a couple hours every morning in the shed before it gets too hot. Time for a break and then work on stuff under air conditioning.
I discovered a spot in the kitchen floor that has a bit of dry rot in the subfloor. Will have to do some repair, its on my list of priorities.
Nothing else is new, y'all have a great day, be safe and everyone be well.

Had Nasal Septoplasty (for deviated septum) and Turbinates Surgical Fracture surgery in my nose this morning. Yuk!! Hopefully I'll be able to breathe out of both nostrils instead of one once everything heals. I'll be laid up for at least a week. I'm not very good at that. So far no pain, but am doped up for the time being. I hope it doesn't get too bad when it wears off. This was NOT a nose job. Anyone else had this surgery? If so, how did it go?

Everyone stay safe.

Sandi~I had surgery for a deviated septum & something else 25+ years ago because my sinuses were causing such bad inner ear infections, I'd get dizzy when I rolled over in my sleep and wake up. Not fun. No real pain to speak after the surgery & if I remember correctly, I did not take any pain pills, just antibiotics.

Thanks Cheryl. That sounds encouraging. Did it solve your problem?

I had surgery for a deviated septum in my 20's. We're not going to figure out how many years ago it was. lol I got hit in the nose with a baseball in junior high and could only breath out of one side of my nose. After that almost every time I got a cold it would turn into a sinus infection. Sometimes I would look like I had black eyes. I had such bad sinus infections in college I would get sent to the infirmary because I was keeping my roommates up with my coughing. When I finally got a job with good health insurance I had the surgery. It helped a lot. I don't remember much about it except my nose was packed for a while. I don't remember if it was a few days or a week.

I seldom ever remember a dream but Monday night I dreamed I was in my motorhome and I couldn't find any clothes. I was digging through all the cabinets and couldn't find a change of clothes. The closet in my motorhome usually has enough clothes in it for me to be gone a month. Then it turned into I was selling my motorhome and I had to clean out all the cabinets. I don't know what brought all that on.

Last night I woke up about 3:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. Then this morning the nursing home called at 6:00 to tell me they were sending Harold to the emergence room because they thought he had mental confusion or something like that and his speech was slurred. When I got to the hospital he looked and sounded the same to me. They ran a CT scan, chest x-ray, an EKG and a bunch of blood tests and couldn't find anything. I had told them the other day that he was really out of it but was ok yesterday. There is a cold going around at the nursing home and I think he has it because he is coughing. We didn't get out of there until noon and I had to be in Lafayette at 1:30. There are 2 friends staying at Betty's RV Park and I was too tired to go to happy hour. I came home and crashed. Hope tomorrow is less exciting.

Yes it helped Tremendously, and has Marta said my nose was packed. Was supposed to be for 3 days but my doctor went on vacation so it was more like 10. They did say at the time because the deviated septum is basically cartilage, it could get worse over time again. As of today it just seems the humanity gives me sinus headaches but I don't get the dizzy spells.

My doctor thinks my nose was broken sometime in the past. That would have had to have been many many years ago. I did lead a very adventurous life in my younger days so it doesn't surprise me he suspects that. I don't know how I managed this long breathing mostly from only one nostril. He offered to fix the bump on the outside of my upper left nostril where he thinks the break was, but after he told me the cost, the bruising, etc. I said to forget it. Thankfully I have no packing with this procedure, just 10 stitches.

I had the same surgery about 15 years ago. Had a growth (cyst, tumor, whatever) in my sinuses found on an x-ray. When they did the CT scan, they found all the other issues with my nose. Went in to take out the growth but it had been effectively killed with the massive antibiotics he prescribed. So, he fixed everything else. No issues with the surgery or the recovery and I didn't have any problem sleeping in the recliner. I didn't have the packing either thank goodness. I had some gauze in there at first and I remember when they took it out, my nostril felt about 100 times bigger than the other one. You'll be amazed at the difference.

No nasal surgery for me, altho I have had more than my share of sinus infections. Hope the healing goes well!

I met with the gal who bought my camper this morning and we got everything done (payment, title, etc) and I told her more things/suggestions regarding the camper that I thought would be helpful since she is new at this.

Then drove down to San Diego to look at a couple cars for sale but neither one was worth the money they were asking. Then headed out to Pacific Beach where my classes are held. I got there a couple hours early so I just hung out on the beach until it was time for class (just a block off the beach!). There are only 4 of us in the class and it was interesting and fun. The instructor is very nice.

I am so happy to be back in California! Sometimes I feel like pinching myself because I can't believe I am living here again! This truly feels like home to me, especially when I am near the ocean.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
