Tuesday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday Morning

Good Morning from the Chily, Damp 45th,

Damp, wet and chilly here today, high to be in mid 40's. But at least it isn't...well we won't mention that word  Dealer called yesterday and trailer is ready for pickup. Think that will wait for tomorrow. Maybe go shopping as I need some stuff for my trip.

Pat, glad that tornado passes far enough away from you. Was watching it on the Weather Channel as it was heading toward Mitchell and thinking maybe the Corn Palace was going to be coming off my list of stops. Ava, congrats on the casino winnings. Every little bit helps. Melisa, hope you weren't on the road wherevthe wind literally picked those trucks up and off the highway in IN yesterday.

Interesting discussion on RV washes. I use Gel Gloss RV Wash and Wax. It cleans and washes both and my trailers have looked likevthey Judy came from the showroom. Use it on my truck too. Gel Gloss itself is a fiberglass polish that has been around a long time and I use it on my fiberglass shower walls too. You can get the RV Wash and Wax at Camping World. A little goes a long way.

Jane, look around for some round plastic containers that might hold a can or glass, or even some of those bigger round desk top pencil holders. Even cutting down some PVC pipe a little wider than a can or glass might work. Have to figure out a way to put a bottom on or attach it to something though. Go online and do some searching for RV cup holders or even look at RVNet.com as that's wherevI found out about the PVC bumper carrier for my sewer hose.

Okay, you all have a nice day today :)

Mornin' Sue and all that follow ~~~
Not much going on here. Cold (for May) here today. Sky looks like it should be October instead of May. Trying to get organized for vacation next week. Weather looked OK ... until this morning. We'll see how it develops.

Cute new pic of Molly. She's looking like a big girl Collie now.

Have a good day everyone and if you're on the road, stay safe.

G'morning gals!

Waiting on horse vets to come out for spring shots and take a look at Ms. Cody's teeth. Last year they said she would need them fixed but we could wait til next year which is this year! Always expensive when a horse vet walks on your property. :( Also need to make appts. for the boys to get hw tests done, maybe next week.

Really want to get AG out for a maiden run this weekend; might just do it even with the rainy weather they are predicting. I can always head for the club and zip home if things get too bad. It's only 45 min. away. Problem is that everyone will be tying up all the good sites with electric before the holiday weekend, you can leave your rv in one spot for two weeks before you have to move it. The boondocking sites might be too muddy to get into. Plan B will be to park it at my old lot which now belongs to my BIL. I think I can run off their electric and just pay them for it.

Good to know that none of our members have been troubled by the ongoing stormy weather. Beth, has all your snow disappeared yet?

Off to start some laundry, do dishes. Already have beds made and things picked up. Need to figure out what to cook for supper. After last night's lasagna, I think I'll keep it simple!

Everyone stay safe, have a great day
Kathy

Kathy, there is still snow on the ground, but I'm expecting what's left to probably be gone later this afternoon.

My final workamping couple is to arrive this afternoon. I'm looking forward to meeting them in person. They'll get trained over this coming weekend.

I had a couple cup holders in my last rig that I've seen in some auto depts ... in my case these would slip between the arm of my sofa and the wall - would hold two cups (or other junk) in each and were very unobtrusive. Will see if I can find an image of them somewhere. Not sure where you want to put yours, but these worked great for me, and even better I could slip them out and clean them easily.

Well, I just came back from the Dr.'s office....had an appointment for blood work to check my cholesterol, so that required fasting. Got there and found out he doesn't open on Tuesdays till 1 pm. MY APPOINTMENT IS TOMORROW.....silly me!!! came home and re-checked the calendar and sure enough...Wednesday not Tuesday.

So...I am enjoying the coffee now and calling it a "senior moment". I need a vacation.

I have trouble keeping up with my husband's, the dog, the cats and my appointments. I always have a feeling I'm forgetting something. Yesterday Harold had to go see about his hearing aids. I thought his appointment was at 10:00 but it was at 10:30 so we were over 30 minutes early. We finally made it by the Panera Bread place. I picked up 2 different kinds of sandwiches and a loaf of bread. I have to say that we thought everything was tasteless. I have read where people love their food but I don't think I will go back.

We went to Lafayette in the rain and after we got home my friend wanted me to go to Lafayette with her when she got off work. We went to Dillard's at the mall and then went to eat. I am so sick of all this rain and we have more coming. I am camping this weekend and there is a chance of rain every day. I need to go get the dirty clothes out of the camper and start washing and reloading.

With all the rain and humidity I have been having a lot of bad hair days. I finally called for a hair cut. If I can't control it, I'll just cut it off.

Love your attitude Martha, you know how to problem solve! Kathy glad to hear you are having the vet kept an eye on your horses teeth, my brother has cutting horses and we just had a conversation about how some people don't have that checked and the horse really suffers.

Sue I would love to see a picture of how much Molly has grown.
