Good morning Sue & all who follow,
Happy New Year!
Sue, love your celebration banner! :D

Started getting texts from the kids around 12:45 this morning - been up ever since. Once I'm awake, I'm awake. Not very good at naps but hope I can get one today.

Only thing on the agenda today is cooking some black-eyed peas, reviewing some work stuff AND waiting for a very special FB posting from my Cali son & DIL. 2015 will be a very exciting year! :D :D :D

May this year be full of joy, peace, good health & adventures for everyone!

Happy New Year Friends!

Sure hope this new year is filled with all you could wish for!

Not much going on today; have a petsit but it's easy peasy. Will grill some steaks either for lunch or supper haven't decide which yet. DH is out in garage cleaning his truck--it really needs it after hunting season. Mine is clean on the outside but needs to be straightened up on the inside.

Need to get going on something to do today, everyone enjoy your day and stay safe

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!

I have some organizing of papers to do today and then I am going off for a bike ride, sun or no sun. Actually, it is no sun--still damp and cloudy after a couple of days rain here.

I posted in the GTG area to try to get some idea of when people might be in Michigan this summer so we could schedule a get-together. Hope several of you are interested. We'll pick a date convenient to the most people and then find a place.

Happy New Year! A cold clear day here today. i'll probably watch some of the Rose Parade, my nephew's daughter is in the Honor's Band but doubt I'll be able to pick her out! Sue, love the banner! Hope this year is good for everyone! Chicken soup from my son on the menu for today. Not cooking is a good start for the new year for me! The guy never showed up the other day to do the work I needed done and never even called so guess I need to try to find someone else. He did this to me before so I'm seeing a pattern here! Ah well, and life goes on! I'm taking a day trip with some friends tomorrow, had planned to go Sat but the weather isn't looking good so decided to do it a day earlier. The beauty of being retired! I hope for everyone a good 2015. Hoping all of you in the "warm" southwest are staying warm! Safe travels and good health to all for this year.

Just watching the Rose Parade. Very cold out there but sunny and beautiful! Sure wish I was there again! One of the things on my bucket list is to volunteer to decorate one of the floats.

I think this next year will have a lot of challenges for me and my family, but hopefully, good things will come from it.

A little warmer here today but cloudy. After Saturday, the temps will plunge again below zero. So it goes, in January.

Hoping a good day and a good year for all of you! :D

Happy New Year to all of you, I have no complaints of last year, it was a very good year and I certainly expect it to be just as good this year. Although I certainly could have done without this cold snowy weather. No snow in my neighborhood but a trace in nearby area. Been here 15 years now and this is just the second time I've seen a little trace that didn't melt as soon as it hit the ground. Hope Carolb is staying warm. I did hear the booms of midnight last night and got up looked out the windows, couldn't see any from the Casino but east of me where the reservation holds their PowWows they had a great display. Enjoyed it and then went back to bed.
No plans for today except hopefully to sit out and soak up a little sunshine.
Ya'll have a great day and be safe.

Happy New Year, women rvers and your families and friends. Love the banner, Sue.

We had a dusting of snow in the desert here overnight. Pretty and almost entirely gone now. But our cold overnight temps are back, for at least a few more nights. Sunny though and I'm about to take a ride to Sierra Vista and back, in a circular route. Just because I can.

Hum, I thought black-eyed peas were for fertility :? Last thing I need at my age is fertility... now cabbage is suppose to bring wealth and pork is for health, so I'll be eating pork loin with cabbage and skipping the black-eyed peas

Happy New Year Everyone. I've had a pot of navy beans with a ham hock cooking for about four hours, they should be about ready. I added a diced potato about an hour ago. The only other things I put in were an onion, garlic and a bay leaf. Sometimes I add a beer but didn't do that this time. I'll make some Jiffy Corn Bread to go with. Not sure if I will sample them or not, beans and I don't get along but DH loves beans. Right now I am having a cup of hot cocoa.

We were brought up eating black-eyed peas on Jan 1 for good luck. I'm definitely not looking for a fertility thing..   Funny thing is we love them but typically only fix them on Jan 1.

Slept thru the ball dropping and forgot to say rabbits! Sure hope that doesn't mean 2015 isn't going to be a great year!

Colder than a witches..you know what. 24 on my back porch this morning! In SoCal? Really?? We haven't had temps like this in years and years! We didn't get snow here but a few miles from here it was 4 inches and is still on the ground! I think it's my fault..I bought a new motorcycle and wanted warm weather to ride. sigh. I need to get 1000 miles on her to break her in and then get the break in oil out and the good stuff in. Right now only 300 miles on her.

Hope everyone is having a super day and looking forward to a wonderful year! Hugs to all!
