Has anyone ever played around with spun sugar?
I'm going to try today and thought there might be some hints!

Now be nice!

I know you've probably researched it to death, but I looked at it on here: http://candy.about.com/od/sugarcandy/ss ... ar_sbs.htm

Hopefully it'll turn out good, if not, remember that your weather right now might not be the best for it. I know when it's raining/high humidity peanut brittle doesn't turn out right.

OF COURSE WE WANT PICS AT EVERY STEP!!!

Hey I just had a thought! If you add some red food coloring, you could make you some new hair!!! You're welcome! :P

Can we mix Mitch's spun sugar with Vickie's twirling in circles...now that would be a picture worth more than a thousand words.... :o  :o

Only word of caution - 310 degree molten sugar burns your flesh VERY quickly.

Are you supposed to put something on the bowl (cooking spray maybe) to keep the sugar from sticking?
When you said "spun sugar", I was thinking cotton candy!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I rubbed it all over really well with butter. Still didn't come off.

I'll try it again, but not until after my finger heals...

Sooooo....what do you do with it after you spin it? Can't eat it seein' as how you and George are diabetic...can't wear it...And I'm really really hoping that this isn't one of the "fun" projects for the next GTG!

HAHAHA - far too messy for a tiny kitchen! I did taste it and then threw it in the trash. Just had to try it. I'm goofy that way - inquiring minds want to know. I watch far too many cooking shows!!! Maybe someday, if I have to make dessert for a party, I can make some purdy things to stick into a cake or cupcakes.

Why, just yesterday, I made Boston Market Meatloaf (OMG - it was out of this world, and I used Bambi - probably be even better with real beef) and King's Hawaiian Rolls (very very good - I tasted one and took the rest of a neighbor - not so good for diabetics, either).

The Boston Market Meatloaf is a definite keeper.

So where's the recipe for the meatloaf??? Never had it, don't think we have a Boston Market around here, anyway haven't seen one.
