The Devil Made Me Chew It!

The Devil Made Me Chew It!

Oh, and I tried this recipe yesterday and it's very good, too. And sooo easy!

1 box of your favorite devils food cake mix
1 15 oz can of solid pumpkin
Mix dry cake mix with pumpkin. Batter will be very thick. Distribute all batter among a 12 cupcake pan ,use paper cupcake wrappers, they will be overflowing but don't worry.
Bake 400*, 20 mins.
They don't rise much and will be heavy, but sooo good!

does that mean you don't use any water or egg, just the DRY cake mix and the
moisture comes from the pumpkin part? They do look good, yum yum

Ava, the applesauce may be too much juice to have it stand up like that and not run over the sides into your oven. Maybe try it with a piece of foil or cookie sheet underneath it.

Maybe if you only put them half full.

I used Betty Crocker Super Moist Chocolate Fudge cake mix. Also had about 1/4 C of leftover carob chocolate chips I threw in. Every bit as good as those big chocolate muffins you get at the store.

I made these yesterday but couldn't find my muffin pan, so put it in a 12 X 7 1/2 Corning ware dish and baked at 350 for 35 minutes. I added pecans to the batter and on the top of one end I melted a thin layer of a 85% dark chocolate bar right after they were baked. Very yummy thanks for the recipe Lenora!

I tried this recipe but used cherry pie filling instead. Turned out the same only the cherries tended to make the cupcakes soggy after a couple days. Think I'll stick to the pumpkin.

sorry, I don't know the sugar grams. You can find that out by checking the cake mix pkg. though.
