Different directions for macaroni after cooking and cayenne adds a little something something. A different twist to an old summer favorite.

That sounds good, Shirl, but because of the low carb diet I follow, I make these types of recipes in small portions, just for Steve. I do splurge occasionally and taste for seasonings.

Irmi, love pasta but it loves my hips. It’s hard to make a little. I do make these kinda recipes to take to family dinners .

I wish I was close enough to partake of one of those family dinners.

There are low carb Shirataki pastas you can use. To me, most of the flavor is the other ingredients, with pasta just as the carrier. If you are interested, I'll post brands I like. They come in liquid in a sealed pouch. You rinse very well, then some are ready, others need brief dip in boiling water. I like the rigatoni shape for pasta salad.

Velda, I am interested in learning more about the low carb pastas and where in the grocery store do you find these?

Karen, thanks for that, but I will wait to read Velda's reply. I have a feeling I'll just taste the macaroni salad when I make it for Steve. Lol!
