Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

Postby Irmi » Fri Apr 08, 2022 5:55 am

Ingredients:

1 pound ground pork sausage
8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
1/3 cup Mozarello cheese, shredded
1 pound fresh Jalapenos (about 12 large)
1/2 tsp sage
1/4 tsp garlic powder
salt & pepper to taste

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside. Brown one pound ground pork sausage in large skillet. Turn off heat & drain excess fat. Add 8 oz. cream cheeses, Parmesan & Mozarella cheese to browned sausage. Add seasoning. Cut Jalapenos in half & remove seeds. Stuff with sausage & cheese mixture. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes.

Note: This recipe can easily be halved. Also I added only the garlic powder for our seasoning.

Mel used to make these in his smoker on a special jalapeño rack I got him. I don't like hot, but I sure liked these.
