my daughter shared this recipe thought it looked good it was actually made it 3 times in less than a week
my mom didn't accept the name of the cake as you do have some things to do but so simple to make

Cake
2 C. flour
2 C. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
large can of crushed pineapple, 20 oz. size
Frosting
1 stick of butter (1/2 C.)
1 C. sugar
1 can evaporated milk (5 1/2oz) I used half and half seemed ok
1 C. coconut
1 C. chopped pecans
whisk the cake ingredients together pour into a 9x13 pan sprayed with pam type spray
bake at 350 for 30-40 mins do not over bake mine was done at 30 actually question the need for 40 mins
while the cake is baking
bring to a boil the butter sugar and milk let boil 5 mins till slightly thickened
add the coconut and pecans.
when the cake is baked take a dowel , wooden spoon, or kabob skewer something of that nature and poke holes in the cake
then pour over the hot cake the hot frosting the holes allow the frosting to seep into the cake...
