Does anyone have any experience with that "Can Cooker" from Amazon? Looks interesting, however, I don't want to buy it and be disappointed. lyn

Had to look it up...

Sounds interesting tho... comes in a junior size too.

I'm willing to bet that Mitch either already has one or will get one as soon as she sees this, the gadget lady that she is!

I had to look it up also. After reading a few reviews don't think I'd try it unless someone I knew personally has and likes it.

I had to look it up too. I wonder what keeps it from being like a pressure cooker, there's no relief valve and I'd be afraid of it exploding. Gonna have to watch more you tube on that product.

I read through some of the Q & A and there is a small hole in the top that lets steam out slowly......so it does work in a pressure cooker fashion....... It is light weight so it wouldn't take up poundage in the RV.

Unless cooking for a crowd was a frequent thing, I wouldn't get it. But I love my InstaPot for our use.

We often do Midwestern Boils (our take on New England Boils) when we're camping with a group. But we use an old cream can! Pretty sure that is where the concept of can cooker came from because cream cans are hard to come by this days. The bottom layer is usually small red potatoes with water and salt that doesn't quite cover the potatoes, followed by carrots, then a layer of sweet corn, sometimes cabbage wedges, the top layer is either fish fillets (normally Walleye) or homemade hot dogs and bologna. As you can see from the picture attached the fishermen hadn't had a good day.

the one time I had one the meat was left over ham cut into cubes...then dumped out into a trough it was fun tasted yummy
I think they sent to Switzerland for the cans as they were constructed better if I remember the reasoning right
