Ranch Buffalo Dip

Ranch Buffalo Dip

Postby dpf » Fri May 20, 2016 10:37 pm

I made this for the first time tonight. Everyone asked for the recipe, so I decided to share it with you ladies (and Mitch ) I served restaurant tortilla chips with it, but crackers would be good too. Pretty easy and not a lot of ingredients.

RANCH BUFFALO DIP

8 ounce cream cheese, softened
½ cup ranch dressing,
½ cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cooked chicken (I used chicken breasts about 1 ½ pounds)
1 cup buffalo sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar/jack cheese

Combine cream cheese, dressing and sour cream. Spread into an 8x8 pan or a 10” pie pan.
Toss the shredded chicken with the buffalo sauce, then spread over the cream cheese mixture.
Top with the cheese. Bake at 375 for 25-30 minutes.

BUFFALO SAUCE
This is one I used because I couldn’t buy a ready made

½ cup melted butter
½ cup Louisiana hot sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons Worchestershire sauce
¼- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons sugar

Melt butter over low heat. Add remaining ingredients, increase heat and simmer about 10 minutes.

YUMMO!

So, you made homemade buffalo sauce to use in the top recipe?

I'm not drooling yet, but my mouth is watering.
Hopefully, I won't forget this is here cuz I don't travel with a printer!

I know - I can email it to myself. I'll forget that's there, too.

Thanks, Pat!

Yes, that is the recipe for the buffalo sauce that I used in the dip recipe. We kinda decided last night that mixing everything together and putting it in a crock pot would probably work better because when it cooled a little the cheese on top started to harden and it was hard to dip into it.

How about doing a screenshot Mitch? Of course I guess you'd have to remember that too.

See, at home, I press "PRINT", and then even when I forgot I did that, I'll go into the computer room and VOILA - there's all the stuff I've printed over the last xxxx amount of days! It's like Christmas - all a surprise.

On my Apple computer there is something called Notes. I found out I can copy and paste a recipe into notes. I have probably forgotten about some of the things I have put in there but it saves ink. Even if I print a recipe there is no guarantee that I can find it.
