talk of soup today reminded me of this recipe for tomato basil soup that I have in my purse...one of those super easy but super good soups.The gal that gave it to me said if you can operate a can opener you can make this soup Now I'll have to admit some of those can openers can stymieing me
Tomato Basil Soup
this uses 16 oz cans
3 cans Italian Tomatoes
puree
then puree
1 can regular tomatoes
1 can chicken broth
1 can tomato sauce
1 T. dry basil (if you have it use fresh)
1 T. sugar
1 tsp. salt
heat...she served it with Gorgonzola Cheese crumbles
said it thickened it somewhat...I say it was just good with it
