Magic Peach (any fruit) Cobbler

I just made this with small seedless concord grapes :!: :!: YUM, next time though for 1/2 recipe I'll only use 1 cup of grapes. I put about 1 1/4 c and it was too many, Also only added 1 tablespoon of sugar as the grapes were very sweet and it was perfect, with vanilla ice cream.

Magic Peach (or fruit of choice) Cobbler

1/2 cup (1 stick butter)
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar ( way too much I used about 1/2 cup
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 cups of sliced peeled peaches. (I used less peaches too, about 2 cups should be enough I used 1 1/2 cups when baking 1/2 recipe

1. Preheat oven to 350
2 Melt butter in a 2 quart baking dish. Combine flour, sugar, milk and vanilla. Pour over butter.
DO NOT stir. Spoon fruit over batter. DO not stir. Bake about 40 minutes. Serves 6

I toasted some pecans and mixed in with the flour/milk etc
I also only made 1/2 the recipe and baked in a 1 quart corning ware dish.

Looks so good, may have to make this for the Ks GTG....

Shiela, a substitution for self rising flour is 1 cup flour, 1-1/2 tsp baking powder & 1/2 tsp salt.
