Chocolate Lasagna
Prep Time: 20mn
Cook Time: N/A
Total Time: 1hr 20mn

1 package regular Oreo cookies (Not Double Stuff) - about 36 cookies
6 Tablespoon butter, melted
1- 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons cold milk
1- 12 ounce tub Cool Whip, divided
2 - 3.9 ounce packages Chocolate Instant Pudding.
3 1/4 cups cold milk
1 and 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

Begin by crushing 36 Oreo cookies. I used my food processor for this, but you could also place them in a large ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin. When the Oreos have turned into fine crumbs, you are done.

Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a large bowl. Stir in 6 tablespoons melted butter and use a fork to incorporate the butter into the cookie crumbs. When the butter is distributed, transfer the mixture to a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Press the crumbs into the bottom of the pan. Place the pan in the refrigerator while you work on the additional layers.

Mix the cream cheese with a mixer until light and fluffy. Add in 2 Tablespoons of milk, and sugar, and mix well. Stir in 1 and 1/4 cups Cool Whip. Spread this mixture over the crust.

In a bowl, combine chocolate instant pudding with 3 and 1/4 cups cold milk. Whisk for several minutes until the pudding starts to thicken. Use a spatula to spread the mixture over the previous cream cheese layer. Allow the dessert to rest for about 5 minutes so that the pudding can firm up further.

Spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips evenly over the top. Place in the freezer for 1 hour, or the refrigerator for 4 hours before serving.

Ah, that would have been a winner with me in the days before I quit sugar. I'm drooling looking at it. And while I still cheat occasionally, don't think I should with that. Would lose my will power.

Well, whatever you're doing in the sugar department, it sure is working.

I can see toasted almonds on top as well, the sliced kind. Beth is right, very tempting, best made for a crowd so you get just one serving to enjoy Nd share the rest to get it out of temptation.

This sounds suspiciously like dirt pudding.

looks yummy!!! and reminds me of a dessert my sister made this weekend only using nella wafers, vanilla pudding and strawberries...swear everything was the same...it was called I think Berry delight...it was good but as I LOVE chocolate this would be my preference
going to have to try it but you are right for a bigger group than 1 way too much yumminess to consume by oneself

That was my first thought also. Just done in layers.

I'm still looking for the hidden jab. This is suspiciously too nice.

Thanks.

No jabs, Beth...usually you are all hidden under your flowy dresses.
I've recently seen you in shorts.

RECIPE UPDATE: Just finished the Chocolate Lasagna. It was really delicious, and a pretty dish, too. Filled an entire 9x13 pan, so it's definitely for a crowd of chocolate lovers.

A keeper.

ON EDIT: Just finished MAKING it, not EATING it. I just ate a 1" square.

The reviews are in from the Weekend Hunters who ate this Chocolate Lasagna...

THEY ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Four men ate the ENTIRE pan in one sitting (9" x 13" pan, full to the very brim)!
