Baked Apples in a Bag

Baked Apples in a Bag

Postby Bethers » Tue Nov 19, 2013 7:15 am

Baked Apples in a Bag.

1 apple,
1tsp sugar,
1tsp water,
1/4tsp cinnamon,
1/4 tsp cornstarch.

Put in bag and microwave 2 min.

Only 59 calories!

I haven't tried it yet - just found it on FB. Will substitute honey for the sugar when I do, though. And will increase the cinnamon!

Brown paper bag?
Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat.

They showed a plastic bag. I would not use one in the microwave so will try it in a covered dish.

..
You core the apple and put the stuff in the middle, right?
That's how my Dad did it for us when we were little.
No microwave, though! Used the oven.

They cored and cut the Apple into slices. Threw in everything else and shook. Then microwaved.

I used to make these but I never added the cornstarch, just the sugar and cinnamon and just a few drops of water, put it in a bag and shook it up, then microwaved, but I remember something about leaving the ziplock open at one end so it didn't explode. Its been years
since I made them, might have to make some again cause I enjoyed the apples.

Thanks!!! I've been wanting a good, easy recipe for apples - without crust or extra stuff. I'll probably give it a try tomorrow!

I actually tried them!!! Really liked them but think I will peel the apple as well seems like that is what I thought at the time
if I remember right the apple gets done but the peel doesn't in the amount of time given but not totally sure been several weeks
and we all know what several weeks can do
