Here is a link to Targets Aebleskiver pan. There are other types there as well. One reviewer lists lots of different things she makes with it that sound really yummy!

the recipe for Abelskivers

3 Eggs
6 T. shortening melted, I've used oil not sure if it makes a big difference or not
1 tsp. salt
2 T. sugar
11/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 C. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 C. flour

the filling I have used is a sliced banana, as well as taken a apple chopped it up and cooked it with spices like cinnamon cloves allspice nutmeg and cardamon any or all of the above and brown sugar and a bit of butter and don't even ask how much of what a sprinkle here and there just till it tastes and looks good
haven't used it but think jams and jellies would also taste good in it....

Are those kind of doughy like pancakes, or are they crispy on the outside and soft inside like donuts?

Just watched the video! Yum! Would be fun to make with my GDs and so easy with using prepackaged mixes.

Here is a link to an actual aebleskiver website from Solvang, CA. There is a video there on how the real aebleskivers are made and flipped and served. (much different from the Pancake Puff).
